Isi buku “Aku Ingin Cerita-2” kali ini “jiwa dan warnanya” agak berbeda dengan “Aku Ingin Cerita” sebelumnya. Orang muda mempunyai masa depan. Orang tua mempunyai masa silam. Itulah sebabnya sebagian cerita ini menyangkut masa silam. Kenapa aku ingin cerita? Alhamdulillah, bahwa pada usiaku yang sudah 84 tahun, Allah masih memberikan kepadaku nikmat yang berupa kekuatan fisik dan kemampuan psikis sehingga aku masih dapat mengumpulkan catatan dan pengalaman hidupku di dunia yang fana ini menjadi berbagai cerita. “Wa ammâ bini’matirabbika fahaddis” (QS.93,11.ad-Duha). Aku masih mempunyai kumpulan cerita yang sebagian telah dimuat di majalah Korps Veteran Karyawan Postel, walaupun aku bukan anggotanya. Dalam menjalani sisa hidupku, aku masih ingin melihat perubahan negara kita menuju perbaikan. Aku menulis beberapa gagasan, barangkali ada gunanya.
